Panic! on the Disco is a pop rock/electronica band based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. The band is constructed from Brendon Urie (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and his adolescence friend, Spencer Smiths (drums), in conjunction with their schoolmate, Ryan Ross (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals).
To sell their music, the band made contact with Pete Wentz (of Fall Out Boy) by his LiveJournal web site. Impressed through the band, Wentz in my opinion met with the band and signed them to his imprint label Decaydance. Under the label, the band released their debut album, A Fever You Cant Sweat Out, which could debut at #112 at the Billboard 2 hundred album charts.
Featured in Spin magazine as their band of the day in early October 2005, accomplishing #1 on the MySpace chart, and continually staying in PureVolumes Top 10 chart, may only assistance grow the bands popularity. An appearance on MTVs TRL on January 17, 2006, at the foremost in their tune video for I Write Sins Not Tragedies, also helped garner the band plenty publicity.
